CONNECT TO SLEEP

If you are exhausted and struggling with your child's sleep issues, I am here to help.
With over 25 years of professional experience supporting Autistic children and their families, I have long recognised the profound impact sleep difficulties can have on a child’s wellbeing and on family life as a whole. In 2021, I undertook further specialist training to focus specifically on sleep support for children with additional needs aged three years and above, allowing me to bring a deeper, more tailored approach to this area of work.
As a parent of an Autistic child who experienced significant sleep challenges in early childhood, I understand firsthand how exhausting and isolating disrupted sleep can feel. As an Autistic professional, I also bring lived experience that informs how I approach sleep support, with sensitivity to nervous system safety, regulation and individual differences. This dual perspective shapes a service that is compassionate, respectful and responsive to the unique needs of each child and family.
My approach to sleep support is neuroaffirmative, trauma-informed and non-judgemental. There is no one-size-fits-all solution. Instead, support is carefully tailored, moving at a pace that feels manageable and supportive for both the child and their caregivers. The focus is always on wellbeing, emotional safety and sustainable change, rather than quick fixes or rigid routines.
As an Additional Needs Sleep Practitioner, I combine specialist sleep science training with extensive knowledge of Autistic strengths, sensory processing, anxiety and regulation, all of which play a central role in sleep. I am a fully accredited sleep practitioner, trained by The Sleep Charity in the UK, and a member of the British Sleep Society.
I have also developed The Connect to Sleep Parent Support Hub, a specialist programme designed to empower parents with clear information, practical strategies and ongoing support, helping families make meaningful and lasting changes to sleep in a way that feels respectful and achievable.
If you are seeking informed, compassionate guidance to support your child’s sleep, you are very welcome to get in touch. My aim is always to support families with clarity, empathy and care, recognising that sleep support is never just about sleep, but about feeling safe, supported and understood.
